Land Art Competition

The tradition of creating land art masterpieces along the route has long been the practice at the OVO Energy Tour of Britain, as well as other cycle races around the world, but 2018 was the first time that TOB held a competition to find the best piece of land art.

Following the success of the inaugural contest, the OVO Energy Tour of Britain National Land Art Competition will return for the race’s 2019 edition, which takes place between Sunday 8 – Sunday 15 September.

Community groups, schools, businesses and land owners across Britain will be encouraged to take part and the North of Tyne has some of the best open countryside, beaches and communities to show the rest of the race how we do it best.

Not only can you see if you can win the national competition but you also have a very good chance of getting you and your community live on TV from the camera shots taken by the helicopters as they scan the race from the skies.

Register with us via the form below to let us know what you are doing and we can tell the rest of the world. You have until 21 August to register your entry with us so that we can inform the camera crews what to look out for.
